LAMENTABLE SUICIDE AT TARANAKI. [BY TELEGRAPH.— PRESS ASSOCIATION.] New Plymouth, Tuesday.
Captmn' Davidson, J.P. and Coroner for the district, committed "mcide at lim residence this afteinnnn by blowing out his brain*. The d<*ed w*i done «ith a rex ol ver. The bullet entered the roof of the mouth, and the brains were blown through the top of the head. Monetary complications are aligned as the reason. Deceased was connected with a number of public bodies, and Iwas chairman of the Justice* of the Pe.tce. He w.ih formerly Mayor of Now Plynioutn, and captun of the Taranaki Cat airy, and at one time held the rank of Major-General in the AmencHii army. He leaves a wife and large family.
