[UEOTBK'S TELhORAMS.] THE EGYPTIAN CONVENTION. London, March 28. In the House of Commons last night, the Convention recently concluded between the Great Powers and England for the settlement of the Egyptian iinancial question, on the ljctsis of the proposals of the French Government, and as subsequently modified by the British Government, was under discussion. Sir Henry Bruce moved a motion, of which he had given notice, censuring the Government in the matter. A lengthy debate followed, with the result that the amendment was rejected and the resolution passed by a majority of 48, the House thus expressing its approval of the Egyptian Convention.
SHIPPING. London, March 27. The Shipping Company's iteamev Aorangi (from Wellington, February 14), arrived at Plymouth this morning. Messrs Shaw, Saville, Albion Company's steamer Arawa left Plymouth this morning for New Zealand.
