The tennis match between C.uubiid^o and K.iwlii.i yesterday, commenced at 10 <> cluck. Tin-re \s as a good, attendance »f spectators during the d.iy. The contest resulted in an e.i->y victory for Kawhia. Messrs Hunt and Hartley played Messrs H<mic and Webb, thu Uttei winning tho tirnt two Hots. Messrs Fit/gerald and M. Stubbing played Messrs Johnson and Forlws in the nexttwoftet-i.thelatterwinninff. Thcsinßle sets were then pone on with. Air Fitzgerald played Mr Home, Mr Hunt played Mr Wobb, Mr Hartly played Mr Johnson, and Mr Stubbing played Mr Forbes. The Kawhia men won in each case. T*o double sets were also played, witli tho hame result. _______________
