Mf>Mi-> Moitr vm> Co. report, under dato Syd.iuy, Febmuy 23 :—Wool.—One of the nio-tt disappointing wool seasons on record is now closing, without wo regret to say, any indication of a better state of things m tlv lininodiato future. Advices from London ha\o been constantly on a descending sc.ile, .md o»ir maiket has of course Butfeicd in sympathy, although, taking the sunoundings into consideration, the dem md has been rcmaikably uctive. This will account tin the comparatively high le\el of good ci i-^bieds, while the very low prices Zi ineiino woods may bo chiefly .ittubuted to tL>i! e\ti ernes deuressiou of Continent il, and notably of French, trade. The importations into Great Butain from Australasia .inn the Capo during the year 1884 Amounted to 1,2(>7,r>3 bales, against 1,177,703 bales in 1883, ,\n increase which is no doubt partly accounted for by earlier delivery of the new clip owing to greater facilities of transit.
