Christchlkch, Friday. An instance of extiaordinary precocity in crime came before Mr Whitoford, K.M., tin's morning. A boy of ten, unwed (Jeorge Hawkins, was convicted of breaking into a }>ouhc at Prubbleton while tlio occupants were away harvesting. He c.uried off a cheque for £(> 4s M, und £ I 10s in cash, a nilver watch and other articles. He was eout to the Ilurnhain Industiial Schwl.
