Cambridge West.
The annual meeting of the householders of this district was held in the schoolroom on Monday evening. There was a fair attendance, and the chair was occupied by Mr M. Dillon. T he. following balance-^hcet was read and adopted : — Receipts : Balance in Bank, Ist January, 1884, £3 12s lid ; grant from Education Board fm year, £11.— Total, £14 12s lid. Expenditure : Cleaning hcliool, fee, £8 Kte ; fuel, £1 11s ; repairs, &c, 13s ; freight on furniture, 14s ; printing, 7» <»<J, advertising, (>s, 13s lid; nundrie* — soap, candles, stationery, &c, l(w (5d ; balance in bank, £1 8s sd.— Total, £'14 2s lid ; £.") 18s fid; above balance, £1 8s od.— Total in bank, £7 3« lid. The following were elected a committee for the ensuing year :— Messrs Baihe, .Tarrett, Allen, Howie, T. Hicks, 1). McKinnon and H. Fit/.gernld. At a meeting of the committee held subseqnuntly, Mr Allon was electod ch.iiim.iii and Mr Hugh Fit/gerald secretary and treasurer. Both these gentlemen wore also authorised to sign cheques.
