•At tho meeting of householders on Monday evening there was considerable interest shown in school matters, there being lit householder* present. Mr Wheellcr occn pied the chair. After the statement of accounts had lieen gone through, Mosirn Tj. B. Kwen and T. C. Barker acting as auditors, the election proceeded, the result being that Messrs Camp, L. B. Kwen, Smith, Graham, Pennell, Melville, and Thompson were declared elected. Subsequently, Mr S. S. Graham was re olected chairman of committee, Mr L. B. Kwen trcasiuer, and Mr Thomson uecre tary. The committee decided to meet on the 2nd Monday in each month. I may mention that the newly appointed teacher (Mr K. McDonald) was to reopen the school on the 2f'»th inst, but did not. arrive in time for that purpose. Nor indeed it is not known when he will anne The new committee in con^equenco had to extend the holidays until next Monday, (February 2nd) when it is hoped Mr McDonald will bo hero.— (Correspondent)
