At the s.tmo time the Hamilton fielding w. is very good, and prevented any heavy scoring. For the visitors Mr Jenkins bowled extremely well, being \ery btr light all through. Mr Sopor howlod wall also, Mr Dm ton in the second innings bowled vvoll. Ho hah a good delivery and good length. The batting of the visitors was not stiong, and they were evidently too anxious to score, as will be seen by the number run out. For the home team the batting of Mr Steven* and Mt Mounier vviw the feature of the innings, whilst the fielding all round w.is \eryfair, Mr T. (J. S.indcs making no less than five oatohoi* at point and short jog, and fow if any chances waio lot off. Mr Kirk made a splendid catch .it slip. Mr Connolly bowled thioiighout, and was most successful.
