LATEST KIHIKIHI NEWS.

[by tki.egbaph.— own cokhkspondent.] Kihikihi, Monday Night. Mr Rochkort has completed the plans of his section of the railway line, and forwarded them to Wellington. A rather sudden death occurred here last night. Mr Ruddy's eldest daughter died of a malignant form of croup. She was well on Friday, and the attack came on Riiddenly, and carried her off. Much & ympathy is felt for the bereaved parents. The funeral leaves to-morrow, at 2 o'clock, for Rangiaohia. Matters with regard to the bridge remain in sfcatu quo. It is reported that a petition will be sent round here for signature, urging upon the Government the desirability of making the railway bridge suitable for traffic, and thus have two bridges over the Funiu, one here and one at Te Awamutu.
