CAMBRIDGE ROAD BOARD.

Tiik oidinary monthly meeting of the above board was held at the Criterion Hotel, Cambridge, on Saturday . Present : Messrs Jas. Taylor (chairman), Forrest, S. S. Graham and J. J. Smith. Road Formation at Tamahkre. — Only two tenders were received for this woik : — Kay and Millar, lid a yard ;J. Cooinbes, 8d a yaid. — Coombe 3' tender was accepted. — It was agreed to apply to the Tamahere board for £10 towards the work. Tiia Narrows Road and Selby's Drvix. — Mr Graham said tie cutting on the Narrows Road was getting into a very dangeiou3 state. It requited to be widened and doped off. He insisted that something should be done here without delay. The board should strain a point to have this work done, aa improvement was urgently needed. — Mr Forrest said the board had not got the money to carry out such a work. He agreed with Mr Graham that it was much needed. To make a good job of the cutting would take £50, and as they w ere now £66 8s 4d in debt he could not see where the money was to come fiom — Mr Smith said Mr Selby's drain wanted to be attended to immediately. They must take some steps to dispose of this much required work. It could be de Uyed no longer. — Mr Forrest agreed with Mr Smith. — The Clerk said the Government grant would soon be to hand. — It was agreed to proceed with the works referied to as soon as the grant is available. Culvert on Victoria Road.— MiTaylor said representations had been made to him about a culvert between the Victoria Road and Fen O'ouit station. This was much required, and would effect a saving of about two miles. — It was agreed that the board find the material, the A. A. Company to do the work. — It was pointed out that the erection of this culvert would be a great convenience to people supplying milk to the factory,
