CHRISTCHURCH, Thursday. The commeicial November stock sales were opened to-day. In cattle (Shorthorn bulls), Rosa's Karl was bought by W. Boag for 100 guinea I', and F. Somerton's Duke was bought by Buchanan for 75 guineas. Friday. Two men have been arrested for passing false notes at the totalisator.
