MONDAY. PROROGATION. Mr Stont mined, "That the House adjourn for half an hour," at which tune the prorogation would take place. The House lesumed at two o'clock. Colonel Trimble asked when the doomsday book would be leady for the use of membeis. Mr Stout said the fiist \ olume of the book was now ready. It could be obtained for dO> per copy. Mr Gillies drew attention to the bad state of the ventilation of the House. Pic hoped Government would take steps to see that the whole subject of ventilation was enquired into before ne\t session. Mr Stout said the vontihition of the House had on previous sessions cost huge sums of money. He was not awaie whether another vote was available at present. A met-sage was receised fiom the Legislative Council requesting the attendance of members for the purpose of proiogation. The Governor's proclamation was read by Sir William Fitzherbert proroguing Parliament till the 19th of March, 1885.
