Ohauvo, Wednesday. A deputation* of about thirty settlers, representing the farmers' interest in \Vaikato and Waipa, met Messrs Hudson and Coom. here to-day, when a number of matters in connection with the export of cattle were brought forward and discussed. A petition praying for a cattle train on Thursday morning, reaching Kctnnera about 11 a m., and leturning to Waikato the following Friday night, was presented. Mr Hudson intimated that the additional cost would be £2000 a year, but he would lay their petition befoicthe General Manager. Mr Hudson stated to the deputation that the new time table would come into force on the 24th November, when a considerable discussion ensued.
