THE PRINCE OF WALES' BIRTHDAY.

HOLIDAY ATTRACTIONS. As the Prince of Wales' birthday, this year falls on Sunday, Monday will be observed throughout the district as a public holiday. The attractions this year are not so numerous as on former occasions, but they aie of a character which cannot fail to afford ample entertainmont to all holiday seekers.

THE CATTLE SHOW. The Auckland Cattle Show this year, promises to attract a large concourse of Waikato people from all parts of the districts. The railway department has thoughtfully afforded those who wish to go to Auckland eveiy facility, and at rates that cannot fail to bo inducing. Special trains leave Cambridge and Te Awamutu at <5.30 on Monday morning, arriving at Green Ljiho at 12.40 p.m. The icturn train leaves Auckland at si* o'clock in the evening, tunning right through to Cambridgo and Te Awamutu.

THK OXFORD H UJES. The Oxford Jockey Club has arranged a first class programme, and Monday's meeting, should the weather continue fine, will attract a very largo attendance. The Cambridge people will go to Oxford in large numbers, and if the road keeps good and the weathor fine, the trip cannot fail to bo very pleasant. Visitors who wish to go to Oxford on the previous evening can rely upon excellent hotel accommodation and every convenience, The raco programme is one which should create a lot of interest. The following are tho acceptances :—

Mr W. K. Carter has arranged to run a coach to Oxford on Manday morning, returning to Cambridge the same evening. THE KIHIKIHI SPOUTS. The sports on Monday no\t promise to be a great success, as the events are good, and will bo sure to attract a good many competitois. The day's amusement will wind up with a dance in the evening.
