PROPOSED CHEESE FACTORY AT WAITOA.
A MEETiNfI of the settlers of the Waitoa district was held in Moffatt's Hotel on the lit!) inst., to consider the advisability of erecting a cheese factory. There was a fair attendance, and the chair w.\< occupied by Mr J. B. Smith. Messrs R. Parr and Hunt dwelt at home length on the advantages to be gained by starting the factory, and ultimately it was resolved, on the motion of Mi Parr, seconded by Mr McOormick, to convene a public meeting for Satin day next, at 2.30 p in., to con.sidei the whole matter. The chairman was, requested to communicate with Captain Runcun.in, to asceitain if that gentleman could attend the meeting. Mr Hunt was also requested to enquire from Air Fnth on what toims he would be prepared to let or sell his plant. Thi-» was all the business, and the meeting terminated with the usual compliment to the chair.
