WESLEY AN HOME MISSION. A MEKTivr; m connection with the above was held in the Wcsleyan Church on Tuesday, Mi" Glass in the chair. The speakeis weic the Revs, li Bavin, H. X Dewsbuiy, and 0. Dean. Owing to the weather not being veiy promising the attendance w.is small, only about t\\ enty being present. Though the attendance was small, the collection was exceedingly good, no less a sum than £7 8s having been collected in tiie room. This showed plainly that those present took an inteiest in the object of the meeting, and the church mission wot Ic. Tlip object of the Wesleyo-n Home Mission is to pi ovule for the dissemination of the Gospel throughout New Zealand, and especially among the natives, and also to .insist districts m which the Methodist body is too small to support the niinisteis. Theie aie at present ten Maori students in course ot truuiug at the Thice Kings, with the object of fitting them for mission work among their countrymen. At the conclusion of the 'meeting Messrs Bavin and Dewsbury suni> a duet which was loudly applauded. Both these gentlemen sung remarkably well. Mr Bavin played several selections fiom Mozart on the harmonium. Mis Creamer who has recently arrived in Te Awarmitii, and who is an accomplished musician, also assisted at the harmonium. The benediction brought a very pleasant evening to a close.
