BLUE RIBBORISM AT WHATAWHATA.
Tun usual monthly meeting of the Blue Ribbon Army was held in the school room on Fiiday evening last, and was altogether a success. Mr Walter, in the absence of Mr Skeats, (who wa*, unavoidably kept away) presided, and iv a tew appropriate remarks commented on the satisfactory condition of the army branch in the neighbourhood, which now has seventy adults on the roll. Much regret was felt at the absence of the Rev Mr Dukes, who could not attend through other engagements, but will do so, if possible on the next occasion. A very good piog ram me was gone through, commencing with a hymn from Moody and Sauky. Songs wcie given by Miss Richards, Misses W.itchorm, warmly encored, Cowderoy, Master SUoats and Mr W. .Shepherd. A violin solo by Miss Richaids was loudly encored and deservedly so. Pleasing readings were given by Messrs Walter, Salmon, and < oudeioy Several new members were enrolled at the conclusion of a veiy satistattoiy and haimonions meeting. — (Conespoudent.)
