THE CAMBRIDGE RAILWAY.

Mr Hacks, District Engineer, and Mr Beere, Resident Engineer, went o\ er the Cambridge line yesterday morning, and passed it as ready for traffic. Mr Hudson, Traffic Manager, and Mr Coom, Resident Engineer, Auckland Railways, also parsed over the line during the day. The line has now baen taken over from the contractor, and the first train will, it U understood leave Cambridge on Monday morning. The train will conic up from Auckland on Saturday evening, bringing the station-master for Cambridge, his wife and family, and others connected with the new branch. We believe that the public of Cambridge are arranging for a demonstration on the occasion of the opening of the line.
