MELBOURNE CUP, 1884. Adam Bkde is now forming a series of companies on the above great event. 2,000 investors at £1 each. To be divided as follows : — Firot horse, £1000 ; second horse, £200 ; third horse, £100 ; other starters (divided), £300 ; non-starters (divided), £400. Total, £2000. It is particularly requested that early application for Shares will, lie made, as each list will bedrawn soon as filled. Results will be forvvarded to subscribers immediately after drawing, and the next list proceeded with. Any hubscribtr drawing a horse in any libt will be allowed, if he so debirus it, to invest in the following list any bum not exceeding Three Pounds without remitting any furthercashthisamount to b* ultimately deducted from pi ize money. The acceptances for this race are declared in August. Before that date Drawings will contain the whole of the horses Entered, aud every horse will receive a prize, but after that date the Acceptors Only will be drawn. The Drawings will be conducted by a Committee chosen from the Subscribers. The names of the winners of the first three prizes will be sent to all newspapeis, and members of the Press are at all tunes invited to attend the drawings.
