WHEREAS, under the provisions of " The Rating Act, 1882," judgment was given upon the 31st day of August, 1883, in the Resident Magistiate's Court, sitting at Alexandta, for the sum of one pound two shillings and eightpence, being arrears of rates due by WHIRIHONE HONE, as the owner ot Lot 82. Ngaroto. This is to give notice that the said property will bo sold or leased by public auction, under the provisions of the said Act, after six months from the date of this notice, unless the amount of the said judgment, together with interest thereon at the rate of ten pounds per centum per annum from the date of said judgment to the date of payment, and all costs and expenses incurred in recovering the same, and all other rates due on such property up to the date of payment, are paid piior to such sale. To decide whethei the Waikato County Council shall, or shall not borrow from the Government in teims of Pait 1 Roads and Biidges Construction Act 1882, a sum of £3323 12s sterling, for construction of Main Roads u ithiii the riding as follows, viz :—: — Ist.- Erecting one Bridge and four Culverts, Draining, Forming, and Gravelling the Alain Road, " Ohaupo to Piako " (within the tiding), cost estimated at £15.")0. 2nd.— Electing two Biidgcsand two Cuheits ; also, Cutting, Draining, and Gi availing the '■ Cambiidge to Piako " Road (within the Riding), estimated cost being €1775 12s. Totvl EsriMVTi:D Cost £3325 123. The amount of yearly payments (ten) lequiied to be paid to the Government in liquidation will be £83 2s 9}d, and the amount of Special Rate required to be levied to meet these payments will be three-sixteenths of a penny in the £ on the rateable \alueof all property in the lid ing. The number of votes recorded for the proposal were twenty-thiee, representing property of the rateable value of £40,160. Against the pioposal. — None. DIAKO COUNTY. Te Aroha Tramway. TENDERS are invited for the LEASE of the County Tramway at Waiorongomai for a term of five years.
