THE HONORARIUM.
[BT TEI.EGHArH.— SPECIAL COURESPOKUENT.J Wellington, Wednesday. The Parliamentary Honorarium .and Privileges. Bill, introduced by Sir Julius Vogel, provide? that the sum of £210 per session shall be paid to members residing beyond 10 miles from the Parliament Buildings, £150 per session to every member living within 10 miles of Wellington. In case of two sessions in the same year it is provided that the amount of payment to be made to members attending the first of these sessions shall in the case of members attending the second session also, be calculated at om;-half of the rates previously mentioned. Members absenting themselves from the Houae for more than five sitting days shall be liable to a proportionate deduction from their honorarium, but this deduction is not to be made m case of illness or other unavoidable cause.
