TRINITY CHURCH CAMBRIDGE.

The new organ which will be first used for divine service to-morrow mny be said to mark a new era in the church music of our district, as it is, we believe, the first instrument of its kind erected in this neighbourhood. For church music it is generally addmitted the organ stands unrivalled, the instruments in general use being but more or lesg successful imitations of it. The congregation of Trinity Church have been fortunate in obtaining an instrument which for beauty of appearance and sweetness of tone is specially suitable to their requirements. The organ, which has been erected by the eminent builders, Messrs Henry Jones and Sons, of South Warrington, comprises the following stops: — Open Diapason, Gamba, Rohr-Flote, Principal, Pedal Bourdous. It is supplied with a swell, and by an ingenious device a " coupler" enables the performer to give great variety and expression. Arrangements have been made for a recital of sacred mussc by an eminent organist from Auckland, to take place next Wednesday. We have no doubt a large number of our readers will avail them-, selves of this opportunity to hear first class sacred music.
