I'UNEDIN, Monday. As the outcome of the Ringarooma inquiry, Captain Tozer has left the service of the Union S.S. Co., ami has gone to Melbourne. , A requisition is being got up in the Roalyn districts to ask Mr Ross to resign. An application will be made to morrow in Clumbers, asking Judge Williams to adjourn the important case, Campbell v. Kennedy and others, in which' Mr Stout ij a necessary witness, on the ground that he ia detained in Wellington.
THAMES, Monday. The Thames Jockey Club has decided to hold a two days' race meeting daring Christmas week. Accounts for tho past year showed a credit balance of £500. The gold returns of the Thames district for the past mouth, are 3929£0z5 ; aud Waiorongomai, 936iozs.
