NEW PLYMOUTH, Friday .
The inquest into the burning of Charnock's house at Henui on which an insurance of £500 had been effected was commenced yesteiday afternoon and beveial witnesses examined. Mr and Mrs Chai nock declined to give evidence on the gi omuls that it might tend to eliminate them. The inquest was ad jouined till this afternoon. Later. Tin inque&t on the fire at Chainock'b house at Tenui was icsumed this aftei nco 1, when a verdict was tetiu tied that the house was wilfully destroyed by fire on the night of the 22nd Kebmaiy by 5,0111 c pel son or poisons unknown. Tlie liii y considei fiom the evuUnc a that the house was considerably ovei msused, and a ridei was added to the effect that the juiy regtet that Mr and Mic Charnock saw fit to icfiain fiom giving evidence Tlie accused were then ieino\ed. Tliey will be brought before the R.M. on Motiday.
