INVERCARGILL, Tuesday.
The firm of Aitken, Cross anil Co., wholesale merchants here, have filed a petition to be adjudicated bankrupts. Wednesday. The tri-ycarly sitting ot the Supreme Court, opens on Tuesday. Theie are five criminal cases, but none of a serious kind. There are also two divorce cases. (The first tried here.) An action for seduction and a laige amount of civil business, including a claim against the Public VToiksDepaitmcnt for £1489 for compensation foi land taken for the Seaward Bush Railway will be lieaid.
