For the want of a (juormn no meeting of the .Southern Cross Petroleum Company was held, but the chairman of the direetois made a statement showing the amount of capital called up £24,800, or 10s 4d on 45,000 sliares. The amount paid up was £23,887, and the liabilities amounted to £20,043, including paid-up capital. Assets, £8790. The ordinary expenditure was £10,802. The new bore is down 450 feet.
