NEW PLYMOUTH, Wednesday.
Wednesday. An iaquest was held yesterday on a fire that occurred in January, 1883. The Sergt.-Major said the reason he held the inquest .on the fire so long after the occurrence was owing to a house belonging to the same owner being burnt at Henui. Mr and Mrs Chambck "were examined, and before adjourning Mr Pardy asked for a warrant for their arrest. He said that during the .proceeding of the inquest the police had obtained a search ..warrant, and had searched Mr Char nock's house, where they had found a large quantity of goods, which Jiad be"en stated by Charoockto be burnt.
