A second meeting of peisons interested iv the establishing of a chrese factory in the Pukete district was held on the 9lh inst. Mr J. C. Brow n was called to the chair. After consideiable conversation, it was decided, on the motion of Mr Johns, that Mr J. C. Brown and Mr W. Clow be requested to visit the settleis within range, and get their opinions as to the amount of support the scheme would be likely to get both as to sale of shares and also the supply ot milk. Both the gentlemen named accepted the woik, and will at once pi oceed with their canvass. When completed the lcsult will be laid bofoie a lutuie meeting. On the motion of Mr John Maitin, a vote of thanks wps passed to Mr Biovvn for the manner in which he had conducted the business of the meeting.
