LATEST POLITICAL NEWS. [BY TELEGRAPH.— SPECIAL CORRESPONDENT.]
Wellington, Wedne&day Night. _ Although nothing official is known, it is generally understood that Ministers will resign either to-morrow or Friday. Everything is being prepared for this in the buildings, and Mr Beetham, the UoYernmeut whip, and others on the same side have already ticketed their seats on the left of the Speaker. Nearly all the members are expected to be here to morrow. Sir J. Vogel's health is rapidly improviua, and he will take his seat this week. Unless pte&sed Munsteis will not recommend any one to the Governor as the poison to be sent for; if required to ad\ise they will almost certainly name Sir J. Vogel Mr Stout has been in communication with the latter during this afternoon. Theie is no chance whatever of an amalgamation between Sir J. Vogel and Major Atkinson, but although no communications have as yet passed, an airangemeut between Sir G-. Grey and Sir J. Vogel is quite on the cards.
