Gbvtleaien,— Having beo-i requested by a large number of friends to contest the ensuing election in the Government interest, I have the honour to offer myself as your representative in the next Pailiament. I would give a gener i! support to the policy of the present Govei nment, including the Native Land Bill, and would do my utmost to secure the completion ot the through North Island Railway, which I consider an absolute necessity.
