La*t night a parcel of stone, covered with gold, was fetched to town, and shares in the prospector's (William Tell Company) were eagerJybought up at £750. They are not to be had at that figure. Swiss Republic, and adjoining leases on the west, are fetching fi2oo for a 24th share. In the Totara claim, .xdioinmK th« Prospectors' claim on the cist, £200 is refused. The Prospectors icef haa been traced a distance of eight c'l.uns, and many new leases are being taken up.
