Sydney. July 1. The qu 'stion of religious instruction in State buhoolb is now seiiously occupying the attention of the New South Wales Government. The New South Wales levenue for the quar'cr ended 30th June amounts to €1,830,000, being an;iifciease of £119,500 compared with tho levenue for the corresponding period last year.

M£l,isour\f, July I. The Victorian re\enue for the last quaiter amounted to £1,510,030, an increase of £156,000 as compared with the corresponding quarter last year. The revenue for the year which ended the 30th June amo'intud to £5,930,000, an au increase of £332,000 as compared with the previous year. The railway receipts ha\e increased £255,000.
