At an adjourned meeting of George Turnbulls ci editors, it was stated that the Bank of New Zealand was prepared to accept £1000 as their portion of the amount due by the bankrupt. Fcnier then moved that the Assignee should be lequestcd to carefully investigate any cases ot apparent prefeieucp, and authorised to obtain a legal opinion on the facts, and if advised to do so, to bring a test case into Court. None of the other creditors voted on the resolution, which was declared carried.
