THE AUSTRALIAN CRICKETERS IN ENGLAND [REUTERS TELEGRAMS.]
London, June 10. Thk Australian team commenced a cricket match at Bradford to-day against , an eleven of Yorkshire. The wicket was heavy owing to recent rains, and greatly | in favour of the bow U-rs. The following was the result of the day's play 1 -Yorkshire, first innings, 55 ; Australians, first innings, 60 Yorkshire, second innings 72. The attendance of spectators was only moderate.
[Received June 11, 12 50 p.m.] London, June 10. Th<? cricket match, Australians v. Yorkshire, was concluded to-day at Biadford. The visitors requiring 6Sruns to win, went in for their second innings, but only obtained that number with the loss of seven wickets. They thus won the match by three wickets. The night at scorers Wdre : — Banuorman, lbw, 14 ; Murdoch, caught, 17. The weather was fine aril there was a good attendance, but the recent rain caused the wicket to be hpavy, and greatly was greatly in favour of tho bowling.
