The Australian cricketers commenced * match (their sixth) to-day at Lords ground, where they met an eleven representing the gentlemen of England, composed of the following : — Messrs C. T, Studd, S, Christopherson, E. J. Diver, W. G. Grace, Lord Harris and Messrs W. W. Reid, A. W. Ridley, A. G. Steele, G. T. Vernon, J. A. Bash and .T. Robertson. The attendance on the ground was enormous, notwithstanding the cold, inclement weather. \An e\ • cellent # wicket was pitched/ and the ground was in first-rate order.
