There has been a heavy fall of rain during all last night and through the early part of to-day. The creeks 1 tinning down from the mountains are all in a flooded state, and the river has risen considerably. There ia no mining newa of any special importance. The appearance of the field on the whole is very healthy. In the New Find mine gold continues to be got, increasing in richness in sinking the winze now down over 60 feet on the No. 2 reef. This of itself should inspire confidence in the future of the field. The amalg.im returns for the week ending on the 19th instant are: —
