Major Atkinson, who intended going South this evening, ha 3 postponed his departure for the present, but will piobably leave in eight or ten days. The ship Lady Joeelyn sailed for London to day. Glew, publican, and Fiederick Larrant, waiter, were chaiged with having made a false declaration under the Registiation of Electors Act, in respect to a claim to ha\e tluir names insetted on the Thorndon roll. The bench inflicted a fine of "20s and ss, respectively. A slight shock of earthquake was felt at 6 '20 this morning.
