A TLmmn,E railway accident occurred last night about ten o'clock, on the Horshaip line, near Little River station, about thiity nules fiom this city. The passenger tiain fiom Ballarat came into collision with a special cattle train from Melbourne. Two persona Here killed, and many severely wounded. The fireman of the engine is missing. The lat"st telegi ams from Little River ua\« the following list of injured :—: — Miss Adann, of Sandndge, severe shock md internal in|unes ; Dawes, injured in the head, and U now in a comatose state ; Miss Diwson bully shaken ; Mrs Phoebe, of Latiobe-street, severe shock ; Walker, the fireman of the cattle-tiain, internal injuries and nbs fractured; McMutrie, guard of the passenger train, shoulder dislocated and wound on the temple ; lady (name unknown), nose fractured, and severely shaken ; another lady ha 3 her leg bioken. The cattle train which come into collision with the passenger train consisted only of empty trucks. The collision took place at a curve, and the drivers were thus prevented seeing their trains approaching one another until too late to prevent the catastrophe.
