FURIOUS HIDINft. Alfred Ticklepeimy, Frank Ticklepenny and Charles Scott were charged with furious i iding in Victoria-street, Hamilton, on the 24th \ilt. The case agaiiibt Frank Ticklepeniiy was withdrawn, and the other defendants pleaded guilty, and were fined 5s each with costs. Richaid Mays was charged with a similar offence, committed on Sunday evening last. Defendant pleaded guilty, and had nothing to say in extenuation of the offence. Sergp.mt McCJovern said the case was a most flagiant one. One Sunday evening just as people were going to chuich, voting 1 Mays and a man named William McLcisli, rode down Victorui-stieet as hard as they could towards the bridge, seuously \m perilling the safety of foot passengers. MoLeish had up to the present evaded servie* of the summons. His Woi->lup administered a well deserved caution to tlie defeudant .^nd fiiioii him 5-5 and costs.
