Telegrams fioni Cannes i eluding the death of the Duke of Albxiiy stat° that His Royal Highness died at two o'clock this morning in a fit, brought on by injuries sustained from falling while at the house of the Nautical Club at Cannes. He clipped on the stairs of the club house and sustained an injury to hit, kneo. He was lemoved to Captain Perciv.il'a residence close by and put to bed. Nothing seiiou-> was feared, and he read the papers, conversed fresly with those around, and partook of supper. Dr Boyle was in attendance, and slept in the same room, and at two o'clock in the morning was staitle I by the Duke's heavy bieathing. He found him in an epiliptic fit, and the duke died in six minutes, in the amis of his host, Captain Peicival. The immediate cause of death was an effusion of blood on the brain. Ho was pievtou-ly m splendid health, and wrote cheerfully to hi* wife on Thursday. She is at Claremont, awaiting her confinement. The (^ueon is seriously prostrated by the newo, and the e\-Empress Eugeinc was with her for scveial hours. Her Majesty's piojected \isit to Daimstadt, Germany, has been abandoned in consequence of the Prince's death. It is announced tint the duke's body will bo brought to England to be interred at Fiojmoie, Windsor. March 20. Profound emotion and unheisal sympathy is being manifested throughout the United Kiugdom at the intelligence of the death of the Piince. The Queen visited the Duchess, at Claremont, to-day. Her Royal Highness is bearing the shock well, though near hei confinement. Addresses to Her Majesty, conveying the condolence of Parliament, will be moved on Monday by Eo.il Granville in the House of Lords, and by Mr Gladstone in the House of Commons. The official bulletin of the Duke of Albany's death attiibutes it to apoplexy. The marriage of Prince L mis of Battenburg with the Princess Victoiia of HpssuJDarmstadt will be postponed. It is expected that the Prince of Wales will anive at Windsor on Wednesday next, with his brother's body. [The late Duke was born on the 7th April, 1853, and was married on the 27th April, 1882, to Piinceas Helen, of Waldeck Pyrmont.]
