LATEST TE AROHA NEWS. [BY TELEGRAPH. — OWN CORRESPONDENT.] Mining Matters.

* Tk Aroh v, Fi iday Night. 'Nicw FiNn.— In continuing the drhe northward on the reef in the Arizona level, good stone was come upon yesterday at a distance of aboub 40 feot from the main crosscut. Some of the .stuff taken out was such as might be fairly classed as picked btone, the gold being of a coarser nature than any hitherto found. The rise going up from this level to the surface is making fair progress, being now up about 10 feet, with a good boring reef in hand. Ten head of stampers are being used at the battery. Reports from Hunt's new claim on the Rotokohu state that gold is being got in a mullocky reef of some size, but that the discovery is not sufficiently important to warrant any rush of people to the place.
