Otahuhu v. Alexandra.
Ar,E\ANDK v, Saturday. The cricket match between the Otahuhu and Alexandra Club-? was played here on Thursday last. The weather being far from favourable, it being must unpleasantly damp, and there not being many enthusiastic cricketers or admirers of the noble game outside of the members of the club here, there was consequently but few onlookers present. The match was in consequence of the weather decided by one innings, the Visitor^ winning, as will be seen by the scores appended, by four wickets and 11 runs. The play of Messrs Robinson and Dunckley of the Otahuhu team was greatly admired. For the local team the batting of Messrs Fitzpatnck and Chapman was the most effective. Both teams lunched together at the Shamrock Hotel, the new landlord, Mr James, supplying a first-rate spread, to which ample justice was done by all present.
