PUKEKURA LICENSING DISTRICT.

PETITION AGAINST THIJ KLECTrOtf. The following is a copy of the petition filed at Cambridge on Friday last :—: — We the undei signed, electors of the Pukekura Licensing District, hereby declaie that we veiily believe that at the election to the office of members of the Pukekura Licensing Committee holden at the council cbambeis, Ohaupo, on the fourth day of March, 1884, at which Gane, Fisher, Reynolds, Hughes and Moirte were declared to be duly elected to the said office, the election of the said Gane, Fisher, Reynolds, Hughes and Morris is void upon the following ground's :— That persons voted at the said election who were not entitled to vote thereat, and we pray that enquiry may be made into the said election under the pro\ ibions of the Regulations of Local Elections Act, IS7O, and that the said election may be declared to be void. Given under our hands this 17th day of March, 1881 :— Michael Morrisy, elector ; Charles Dunn, elector ; Joaiah Hill, elector ; Chailes O'Neill, elector ; William Hickey, elector ; Catherine Wylie, elector. Declared at Cambridge West, aforesaid, by the si\ persons signing this petition on the eighteenth day of March, 1884, before me, A. Clements, J. P., a Justice of Peace for the colony of New Zealand.
