CAMBRIDGE TOWN BOARD.
At the meeting of the town boavd held last evening, the returning officer having reported that the proposal to raißO a loan for improvements, &c, to Public Hall and Library was carried at the poll on Saturday;, the Bfch jnst., it wai resolved, " That applic ition be made to the sinking fund commissioners, Wellington, for the authorised loan of £000 for enlargement and improvement of the Public Hall and Public Library, and that the chairman, Mr Wells, be requested to take charge of tha application. .Failing his obtaining it from this source he be fully authorised to raise it elsewhere."
