The election of members of the above committee took place yesterday, when the following were nominated : — Hone te One, Hone Punii, Karaka Tarawhiti, Te Paetai, Whaoio, Taniora te Aroa, Ngakuru, Herikiekie, Matakitaki, Te Para, Hone Welere, Te Ranginui PauninyHopere te Potou, Te Paihua, and Hetere Paerata. After the close of the poll Mr G. Wilkinson, returning officer, declared the first twelve to be duly elected. All passed off quietly.
