Adkl.vide, February. In the House of Assembly last night, a debate «as commenced on the motion for an address to the Federal Council. In the coarse of thf discussion the opposition members left the House in a body, and there being consequently no quorum, the matter was shelved The prorogation of Pdliament was fixed for to-day, and the fate of the motion is therefore uncertain.
Sydney, February 28. The death is announced of Dr. Clias. Bad ham, Professor of Classics in the University of Sydney, aged 71. The funeial of Di Badha:n will take place to-morrow. All the Government offices will be closed as a mark of respect to the memory of the deceased profe&sor.
BitibßANE, Febuiary 28. In the Legislative Assembly last night a resolution was passed requiring that the Courier newspaper, published here, be prosecuted for libelling the members of the House in an article commenting upon the proceedings of the Elections Qualifications Committee,
