FATAL FIRE at MASTERTON. [BY TELEGRAPH.—PRESS ASSOCIATION.] Masterton, Wednesday.
The house of John Hauling was burned down this morning. A sp.uk from the kitchen chimney is supposed to have ignited the shingles Three adults and eight childien, who were in bed at the time, were all saved, excepting a boy (nine years old) .sleeping in an upstairs room, whose charted remains were subsequently found. The hou->e was insured for £200 in the South British office.
