Boat Accident. Auckland, Monday Night. The sailing boat Transit, with Messrs Claud, H ull aud Fraser aboard, capsized near Motutapu yesterday The occu* pants were rescued by the scow Oliver.
Attempted Murder. At the Police Court to-day, David Wallace was charged with feloniously shooting, with intent to kill and murder, Patrick B. Loughan on the 23id instant. On the application of the police, prisoner was remauded for medical, examination. Anpther Case. CapUin WeHeeloy Hughea liiliwal
was remanded for eight days, being under the influence of delirium tremens. Serg i ant White said he made the application in the interest of prisoner and his family, as he had threatened to shoot them.
