PUKEKURA AND PUAHOE EJECTMENT CASE.

TO THE EDITOR. Sir,— The statements contained in your article of to-day's issue to the effect that I gave the sheriff to understand that he would bo obstructed in his duty, and that I intended to concentrate a force of strange natives on the land, is untrue. That the disputed blocks will at no distant time reveit to the natives. i-> in my opinion a legal cettainty, but the employment of unlawful force is not the mode of procedure I intend to adopt to bring about this rebult. — I am, &c, WiM. Macgregor Hay. Hamilton, Feb. 14th, 1884.
