The ORMONDVILLE MURDER.
A Press Association telegram states that Edwards, the man who murdered his wife and family at Ormondville, near Napier, was brought up at the Resident Magistrate's Court on Thursday, and committed for trial. Prisoner has made a statement detailing the whole of the circumstances connected with the sad affair, He was in clelerium tremens, and says he killed his wife and family to save them from the attacks of a crowd, who, he imagined, were trying to break into the house.
